Commitment Statement
Mutual Elevation is committed to digital accessibility. We strive to provide an inclusive experience so visitors can shop, learn about our impact, and get support regardless of how they navigate the web. Accessibility is an ongoing effort: we work to improve structure, clarity, and compatibility over time and welcome feedback when something does not work for you.
Standards & Compliance
Our goal is to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is widely referenced for accessible web content. Where our site includes e-commerce or third-party tools, we also consider applicable requirements under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as they relate to our digital services.
Conformance is assessed through design and development practices, manual checks, and browser and assistive technology testing. Because the site and integrated services change over time, we review and remediate issues on a continuous basis rather than claiming a one-time certification.
Accessibility Features & Capabilities
The following capabilities reflect our current implementation. Not every page may implement every item to the same degree, especially where third-party content is embedded.
- Semantic HTML structure (landmarks, headings, and lists) to support screen readers and keyboard navigation.
- Visible focus indicators on interactive elements where our theme controls styling.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images where we provide them in our content.
- Form fields associated with labels on our theme-built forms to support clarity and screen reader announcement.
- Responsive layout and readable type sizes to support zoom and smaller viewports.
- Skip link to main content (where implemented) to reduce repeated navigation for keyboard users.
Known Limitations
Some parts of the experience may be less accessible than we intend, including:
- Third-party widgets, payment flows, or embedded media (for example, from social networks or maps) that we do not fully control.
- PDFs or downloadable documents that may not meet the same standards as HTML unless we provide accessible alternatives.
- Legacy or user-generated content that has not yet been updated for accessibility.
- Occasional color contrast or focus issues in highly customized or infrequently used templates.
If you hit a barrier, please tell us using the contact method below so we can help with an alternative format or prioritize a fix.
Feedback & Contact
We welcome your feedback on accessibility. Please reach out through our Contact page and describe the page or feature you were using, what you were trying to do, and what assistive technology or browser you use. We aim to respond within a reasonable time.
Assistive Technology Compatibility
We test core shopping and content flows with common assistive technologies, including screen readers (such as VoiceOver on Apple platforms and NVDA on Windows) and keyboard-only navigation.
Recent manual checks were performed with current versions of the following browsers (desktop unless noted):
- Google Chrome (latest)
- Mozilla Firefox (latest)
- Apple Safari (latest, macOS and iOS)
- Microsoft Edge (latest)
Other browsers and assistive technology combinations may behave differently. If something does not work in your setup, contact us and we will try to help.
